Worked on extending secrets management for Tron jobs by implementing AWS SSM Secrets synchronization within the Yelp/paasta repository. This involved updating the Tron schema to support a new ssm_secrets field and enhancing the synchronization logic to enable seamless runtime access to SSM secrets, aligning Tron with the existing EKS secrets workflow. The approach improved automation, security, and consistency across different runtimes. Comprehensive documentation was added to guide users through configuration, usage, and migration. The work leveraged Python, AWS, and Kubernetes, demonstrating a focused application of DevOps principles to streamline secrets management and support operational parity across deployment environments.
