Worked on the open-telemetry/opentelemetry-collector-contrib repository to extend telemetry capabilities by enabling access to client metadata within OTTL contexts. Developed a feature in Go that allows telemetry pipelines to retrieve and utilize client-specific information, supporting more granular filtering, routing, and analytics in backend systems. The technical approach involved enhancing OTTL context handling and metadata access, ensuring that client data could be exposed securely and efficiently during telemetry processing. Collaborated with other contributors through co-authored commits, focusing on stability improvements and seamless integration of the new feature.
