Worked on Docker configuration improvements for the wallabag/wallabag repository, focusing on stabilizing builds and enhancing observability. Addressed deployment drift by pinning the PHP base image to the bookworm version, ensuring consistent and reproducible builds across environments. Enhanced monitoring and request tracing by introducing a Wallabag-specific User-Agent string in the Docker parameters, making outbound requests easier to identify and analyze. Leveraged skills in configuration management, containerization, and DevOps, utilizing Dockerfile and YAML to implement these changes. The work laid the foundation for more reliable CI/CD processes and enabled faster root-cause analysis in production deployments without introducing new bugs.
