Rory developed lifecycle-aware seeding changes for the planx-new repository, enabling support for statutory application types within published_flows. Using SQL and shell scripting, Rory added the is_statutory_application_type field with robust export and import handling, ensuring that new application flow types could be managed reliably across different environments. To maintain safe deployment practices, Rory also implemented a rollback mechanism that cleanly removed the field and associated data handling from both container and SQL seed scripts. This work demonstrated careful attention to database management and scripting, resulting in more reliable seed tooling and reducing risk for future changes in application flow management.
