During December 2025, Rpanimation focused on stabilizing the protobuf build process for the qnx-ports/build-files repository on QNX systems. They addressed a critical CMake configuration issue by explicitly separating C and C++ compiler flags, which eliminated cross-contamination and improved build reliability. Their work also included correcting header search path ordering to ensure the correct standard library headers were found, and resolving ZLIB detection to prevent inconsistent library linkage. Using C, C++, and CMake, Rpanimation updated documentation with troubleshooting guidance for missing libraries, enhancing developer onboarding and reproducibility. This targeted engineering improved the robustness of protobuf builds on QNX.
