During June 2026, contributed to the LycheeOrg/Lychee repository by developing a feature that enhances photo metadata visibility in the application’s details view. This work focused on displaying the camera make alongside the model, requiring updates to both backend Exif data retrieval and frontend rendering logic. The implementation involved end-to-end integration using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Vue.js, ensuring that the new metadata appeared seamlessly without affecting existing displays. By improving how camera information is surfaced, the feature supports better searchability and filtering for users, while maintaining full commit traceability and avoiding regressions in the handling of other photo metadata fields.
