Worked on spack/spack and spack/spack-packages, delivering four features over two months focused on build systems, package management, and Linux development. Implemented end-to-end integration of the Unified Memory Framework (UMF) with Intel oneAPI Compilers, aligning packaging and runtime behavior for SYCL and ensuring environment variables are sourced correctly. Added UMF as a required dependency for SYCL runtimes, gated its availability to supported versions, and synchronized changes across repositories for consistency. Later, set Intel MKL 2026.0 as the default in Spack with conflict handling, and introduced a Linux-only SYCLomatic package for CUDA-to-SYCL migration, using Python and CMake.
May 2026 (Month: 2026-05) delivered two high-impact features in spack/spack-packages that enhance performance, portability, and developer efficiency, with clear business value and robust build safeguards. Implemented Intel MKL 2026.0 as the default in Spack, disabled it for packages that do not support it, and added conflict handling; included code style updates and CI-aligned changes. Introduced a Linux-only SYCLomatic package for migrating CUDA code to SYCL C++, enabling future portability to SYCL-based accelerators while controlling dependencies and build configuration. Changes were committed under 954323829df7cc7f10b9e08580191b740a1ef1fa and 62e1df154c0d335266d3c3d8ad37854d8f7ace25, with additional style fixes and packaging hygiene adjustments (including PETSc workaround and HEFFTE conflict resolution).

December 2024 monthly summary: Implemented end-to-end UMF integration with Intel oneAPI Compilers in Spack, aligning packaging and runtime behavior for SYCL. Delivered environment sourcing for UMF during installs (without ~envmods), made UMF a required dependency for SYCL runtime, and gated UMF availability to 2025+ to match supported runtimes. Changes were mirrored across spack/spack-packages and spack/spack, with traceable commits.
