Worked on the alliance-genome/agr_ui repository to standardize and optimize the xenbase logo asset, focusing on improving branding consistency and page load performance. Used ImageMagick to resize the logo to 10% of its original size, reducing the file from 3.7MB to 72KB and decreasing bandwidth usage. Applied asset optimization techniques to establish a repeatable process for future improvements. The work involved careful asset management and version control, with changes tracked in a single, traceable commit. Leveraged skills in asset optimization and image processing, contributing to a more efficient user interface without introducing new bugs or affecting existing application functionality.
