
Worked on the halide/Halide repository to enhance both the reliability and usability of its generator utilities and runtime bindings. Focused on improving type safety in Python by correcting invalid type annotations and refactoring helper functions to ensure consistent return types, which reduced downstream debugging time and improved code generation safety. Additionally, implemented cross-language exposure of buffer cropping and translation methods, enabling these features in both C++ and Python APIs. Developed comprehensive end-to-end tests to validate API parity and behavior across languages, using skills in API design, C++ development, and Python to deliver more robust and user-friendly buffer manipulation capabilities.
