During June 2026, contributed to the external-secrets/external-secrets repository by developing a namespace-aware credential lookup feature for the Volcengine provider. This work focused on enhancing ClusterSecretStore scenarios by ensuring that credential resolution correctly honored the secretRef.namespace, thereby resolving empty-namespace errors and aligning with store kind logic. The implementation preserved namespace isolation for Namespaced SecretStore use cases while enabling appropriate cross-namespace credential retrieval, improving reliability and supporting multi-tenant deployments. Leveraging Go, Kubernetes, and API development skills, the changes increased enterprise readiness and demonstrated collaborative code quality improvements through alignment with ongoing issues and contributions from multiple team members.
