Developed and integrated Akto API Security Guardrails into the LiteLLM Proxy within the BerriAI/litellm repository, enabling guardrail-based request validation and data ingestion controls for large language model traffic. The work introduced both blocking and monitoring modes, enhancing security and observability while maintaining compatibility with existing LiteLLM workflows. Leveraging TypeScript and Python, the developer focused on backend development, API integration, and security instrumentation, ensuring guardrail rule compatibility across data paths. Documentation was updated to reflect new features, and minor edge-case fixes were applied without major regressions. This integration supports enterprise governance and accelerates secure deployment of LLM-powered applications.
