In February 2025, Saade developed flexible title assertions for the pestphp/pest-plugin-browser repository, enabling both literal and regular expression checks within the toHaveTitle assertion. Saade introduced a Str::isRegex helper and refactored the isRegex() function to more reliably detect regex-delimited strings, enhancing the accuracy and reliability of title validation. The work involved targeted code cleanup and refactoring in PHP, with a focus on maintainability and readability. Although no major bugs were addressed during this period, Saade’s contributions improved the robustness of assertion logic and streamlined the codebase, demonstrating depth in regular expressions, testing, and code quality practices.
