During February 2025, Saade enhanced the pestphp/pest-plugin-browser repository by delivering flexible title assertions that support both literal strings and regular expressions in the toHaveTitle method. This work involved introducing a Str::isRegex helper and refactoring the isRegex() function to more reliably detect regex-delimited strings, improving the accuracy and reliability of title checks. Saade focused on code cleanup and maintainability, ensuring the new features integrated smoothly with existing PHP code. The changes emphasized robust regular expression handling and thorough testing, resulting in a more maintainable codebase. No major bugs were addressed, as the month’s efforts centered on feature development and stability.
