Developed a scalable per-user subdomain configuration system for GitHub Pages within the is-a-dev/register repository, focusing on backend development and configuration management. The work involved introducing a subdomain.json file containing owner and CNAME metadata, then renaming it to a user-specific configuration to enable individualized hosting workflows. This approach established a foundation for automated domain provisioning, reducing the need for manual setup and supporting more efficient onboarding for new users. The implementation leveraged JSON for configuration and emphasized maintainability and scalability in the hosting process, addressing the need for streamlined, per-user customization in GitHub Pages deployments without introducing new bugs.
