Worked on the open-edge-platform/edge-ai-suites repository, focusing on backend reliability and user experience improvements. Addressed two critical bugs by refining datetime timezone handling to prevent incorrect time displays and by ensuring users receive clear feedback when rule searches return no results. Enhanced the setup process by implementing robust error handling in the Docker Compose startup script, causing immediate failure and explicit messaging if services fail to start. Leveraged Python, Shell scripting, and DevOps practices to improve onboarding reliability and CI stability. The work emphasized maintainability and clarity, reducing support overhead and ensuring more predictable development and deployment environments.
