During July 2025, Saldry focused on enhancing build system reliability and security for OpenWrt-related projects. In the namiltd/openwrt repository, Saldry updated the system certificate authorities trust store, refreshing the CA bundle and integrating an upstream fix for sysroot handling in update-ca-certificates. For openwrt/packages, Saldry upgraded the XZ dependency to version 5.8.1, aligned it with the toolchain, and streamlined package maintenance by removing obsolete patches and updating the source retrieval method. Working primarily with Makefile and build system tooling, Saldry’s contributions improved build reproducibility, reduced maintenance overhead, and strengthened the security posture of both repositories.
