During September 2025, Salif focused on maintenance for the LemmyNet/lemmy-ui repository, addressing a critical issue in the web manifest generation for PWAs. By correcting the data URL encoding for base64 icons, Salif ensured that application icons render reliably across platforms, directly improving the onboarding and launch experience for users. The work involved detailed adjustments to TypeScript code, specifically resolving a colon separator issue that previously caused broken icon references.
