Worked on the LemmyNet/lemmy-ui repository during a focused maintenance cycle, addressing reliability issues in Progressive Web App onboarding. Using TypeScript and web development skills, resolved a critical bug in the web manifest generation by correcting the data URL encoding for base64 icons. This technical fix targeted the colon separator issue within the manifest, ensuring that icons render correctly across platforms and preventing broken icons on install or home screen shortcuts. No new features were introduced during this period, as all efforts were dedicated to enhancing PWA reliability and maintaining consistent, brand-aligned user experiences through precise manifest handling and testing.
