During June 2025, Sam Young developed and integrated a new Codeberg profile option for the metacpan/metacpan-web repository, enhancing author attribution within MetaCPAN. Sam updated the backend author API model in Perl to support Codeberg metadata, ensuring that display names and URL formats were accurately represented. On the frontend, Sam used LESS to incorporate the Codeberg icon into the asset pipeline and styled it for consistent branding across user profiles. This work connected backend and frontend layers, providing a seamless user experience. The feature was delivered as a cohesive commit, reflecting a focused approach to cross-layer feature implementation and maintainability.
