Worked on the Kilo-Org/kilocode repository to enhance the user experience of commit message generation within the VS Code extension, focusing on robust error handling under prompt quota constraints. Addressed issues where silent failures and extension crashes previously hindered usability by implementing explicit handling for timeouts and user cancellations, ensuring users receive actionable feedback. Mapped provider quota and billing retry failures to clear, user-facing messages while preserving raw responses for diagnostics. Utilized TypeScript for front end development and expanded unit testing to cover new quota scenarios, resulting in improved reliability, faster recovery from errors, and better supportability for the extension.
