Working in Java and Spring Boot, Acacia established repository structure, database configuration with MySQL, and implemented authentication using Spring Security. In the roberto-lumbreras/FunkoShop-Backend repository, Acacia enhanced user authentication by introducing email-based login and refactoring JWT configuration for clarity and maintainability. The work emphasized clean data handling through Data Transfer Objects and explicit configuration management, resulting in robust, deployment-ready code that supports future feature delivery and reduces security risks through improved authentication and token expiration handling.

December 2024: Strengthened authentication and cleaned JWT configuration in the FunkoShop Backend. Implemented email-based login/registration via CustomUserDetails, and aligned JWT configuration properties and utilities to clearer naming. Introduced explicit expiration handling to reduce misconfiguration and improve security; changes are traceable via two commits.
