Developed comprehensive Tailyn equipment support for the librenms/librenms repository, expanding device monitoring capabilities through new configurations and MIB integration. Leveraged SNMP and YAML configuration skills to onboard Tailyn hardware and two Advantech switch models, updating discovery and management YAML files for accurate device representation. Addressed data quality by correcting hardware information and refining CPU temperature OIDs and thresholds, resulting in more reliable monitoring and reduced manual setup. Utilized JSON and MIB languages to implement onboarding artifacts and validated integration. The work focused on automating device compatibility, improving incident detection, and enhancing the efficiency of network device management workflows.
