Sankarapu worked on the google/fhir-data-pipes repository, focusing on implementing robust resource deletion propagation across both the sink database and the FHIR server. By updating the ConvertResourceFn to trigger delete operations for resources marked as deleted, and extending both JdbcResourceWriter and FhirStoreUtil to support deletion by resource ID, Sankarapu ensured data consistency and correctness between systems. The solution was developed in Java and leveraged backend development, data processing, and database management skills. Comprehensive unit tests were added to validate the new functionality, reflecting a thorough and systematic engineering approach to maintaining data integrity in distributed healthcare data pipelines.
