Developed and implemented a Dependabot Update Cadence Policy for the wireapp/wire-apps-jvm-sdk repository, introducing a seven-day cooldown period to manage automated dependency updates. This policy, defined using YAML and integrated with GitHub Actions, aimed to reduce update noise and minimize disruptions to release cycles. By codifying a repeatable update cadence, the work improved the predictability and stability of CI/CD processes while maintaining up-to-date dependencies. The approach emphasized governance and alignment with security and maintenance best practices, ensuring safer and more stable software delivery. The focus on DevOps and dependency management contributed to more controlled and reliable release planning.
