Worked on the bufbuild/plugins repository to upgrade the Protocol Buffers C# Plugin, focusing on improving compatibility with the .NET 9 SDK and addressing security concerns. The project involved migrating the target framework from netstandard1.1 to netstandard2.0, which eliminated build warnings and aligned the plugin with current .NET standards. As part of this process, a vulnerability was resolved by upgrading the System.Net.Http dependency, enhancing the plugin’s security and maintainability. The work required expertise in C#, .NET development, and dependency management, ensuring that the plugin remains robust and compatible for downstream users relying on Protocol Buffers in modern environments.
