Worked on enhancing the rwth-i6/i6_core repository by implementing multi-mapping support for the Lexicon SpellingConversion feature. Refactored the SpellingConversionJob in Python to handle multiple mappings per lexicon, focusing on robust data processing and lexicon management. The approach included removing duplicate orthographic forms to minimize data conflicts and ensuring syntactic information was accurately linked to lemmas, which improved the consistency and reliability of lexicon conversions. This work addressed the need for cleaner, more accurate lexicon data when multiple mappings are applied, contributing to better downstream parsing and analysis in language processing workflows. No bug fixes were recorded during this period.
February 2025: Implemented multi-mapping support for Lexicon SpellingConversion and data clean-up in rwth-i6/i6_core; refactored SpellingConversionJob to handle multiple mappings per lexicon, removed duplicate orthographic forms, and ensured syntactic information is correctly associated with lemmas, resulting in more accurate and consistent lexicon conversions. One significant commit focused on cleaning the lexicon when multiple mappings are applied.
