Saumil worked on enhancing privacy controls for the InteraktBanner repository by updating the button click tracking whitelist configuration. Focusing on configuration management using JSON, Saumil broadened the disableButtonClickTrackingWhitelist.json file to cover additional UI elements, enabling more granular user-level privacy controls. This update reduced unnecessary data collection while maintaining analytics feature parity, supporting privacy compliance and user trust. The work involved careful management of configuration files and traceable commits to ensure maintainability. Although the scope was limited to a single feature over one month, the changes demonstrated a thoughtful approach to balancing privacy requirements with existing analytics workflows.
