Worked on the vercel/ai repository to address a critical integration issue with AWS Bedrock by restoring the correct bedrockRerankingConfiguration key in the TypeScript codebase, resolving persistent HTTP 400 errors during reranking requests. Focused on API development and testing, the approach involved updating and refining tests to assert the presence of AWS-required request-body members, replacing brittle snapshot tests to prevent silent regressions. Validated the implementation against the AWS Bedrock Agent Runtime API contract, reproducing failure scenarios to ensure alignment and future stability. All changes were submitted with signed commits, accompanied by thorough self-review and documentation updates to support a stable release.
