Worked on enhancing the symfony/symfony repository by focusing on terminal UI reliability and layout improvements. Addressed a bug where border color visibility was compromised when a null color was encountered, ensuring the default text color is now applied and adding unit tests to cover edge cases. Introduced a new vertical alignment parameter to the layout system, allowing shorter widgets to be centered relative to taller ones in horizontal arrangements, which improved overall widget positioning. Utilized PHP and Symfony for back end development, emphasizing robust unit testing and careful handling of UI rendering logic to reduce mis-rendering risks in complex scenarios.
