During August 2025, Stéphane Bouchet developed PhpStorm IDE integration for Eclipse Che within the che-operator repository, focusing on expanding IDE support for PHP workflows. He designed YAML-based configuration to define PhpStorm server versions, container images, and resource specifications, enabling seamless IDE launch directly in Che. Leveraging skills in containerization, DevOps, and IDE integration, Stéphane implemented end-to-end wiring to ensure deployability and alignment with existing IDEs. His targeted fix stabilized the integration, reducing setup time and context switching for PHP developers.
