Worked on upgrading the Guitarix2 package to version 0.47.0 within the void-linux/void-packages repository, focusing on modernizing the packaging process and improving long-term maintainability. The approach involved removing deprecated patches and updating the build template to reflect new versioning and dependency requirements, ensuring compatibility with the evolving audio stack. Leveraged C++ development and Python scripting skills to streamline the upgrade path, reduce build fragility, and simplify future maintenance. This work contributed to system stability and provided a clearer packaging structure for downstream users who rely on guitarix2 features, addressing a critical dependency upgrade through a focused, single-commit change.
