Snehasish Dawn developed the Zed Jellybean Theme for the zed-industries/extensions repository, focusing on enhancing the Zed editor’s visual appeal and extensibility. Over the course of one month, Snehasish designed and implemented a colorful dark theme inspired by the Jellybeans color scheme, introducing a dedicated submodule and updating the extensions configuration to support seamless integration for end users. The work emphasized UI/UX design and front end development, utilizing Git for version control and TOML for configuration management. This project laid a technical foundation for future theming extensions, streamlining the process of delivering new themes and strengthening the editor’s branding capabilities.
