Worked on stabilizing the Network Replay experience in the PostHog/posthog-js repository, focusing on ensuring data integrity during telemetry collection. Addressed a critical issue by fixing an infinite capture loop in the Network Replay Plugin, implementing logic to mask parent ingestion requests and drop related server timing entries. Introduced state-tracking within the observer callback to filter out subsequent timing data associated with masked requests, preventing data bleed. Developed and integrated targeted Jest tests to verify that masked ingestion requests and their timings are properly excluded. Utilized TypeScript and the Performance API to deliver a robust solution that enhances frontend reliability.
