During August 2025, Senthil enhanced the sonic-net/sonic-sairedis repository by implementing security observability features in the SAI layer. He updated the interface to support MACsec and IPsec post-status notifications, introducing new callback pointers and expanding the notification system for real-time network security updates. Working primarily in C++ with a focus on embedded systems and network programming, Senthil’s changes improved the platform’s ability to monitor and alert on security events. Although no major bugs were addressed during this period, his work laid the technical foundation for automated monitoring and faster incident response, deepening integration with MACsec/IPsec hardware environments.
