Worked on the lockbook/lockbook repository to stabilize the Bear Import workflow, focusing on backend development with Rust. Addressed a complex bug affecting Markdown handling and content extraction, improving the reliability of importing Markdown-based content. Enhanced the workflow by implementing robust file-type validation, candidate location extraction, and invalid character reporting, ensuring data integrity throughout the process. Expanded unit test coverage to protect against regressions and validated all changes within the continuous integration pipeline. No new features were introduced during this period, but the targeted bug fix and comprehensive testing improved maintainability and import reliability for Markdown content in the Lockbook project.
