Worked on enhancing Jira integration within the opendevstack/ods-jenkins-shared-library repository by adding the Jenkins job start time to the data sent to Jira, improving traceability and accuracy of CI/CD job status updates. The approach involved updating the JiraUseCase logic in Groovy to pass the job start time as a new parameter, ensuring that downstream systems receive more precise information. Unit tests were expanded to verify the correct handling of this additional data. The work focused on CI/CD automation and Jenkins pipeline integration, addressing the need for better reporting and synchronization between Jenkins and Jira without introducing new bugs.
