Worked on the Shopify/opentelemetry-ebpf-profiler repository to deliver a core feature that improves debugging visibility for PHP applications. Developed logic to include class-qualified symbolized function names, ensuring that profiling outputs now display ClassName::methodName when available. This required updating the symbol lookup process to check for class scope, enhancing the clarity and accuracy of performance data. Added comprehensive tests to validate correct symbolization across various scenarios, which increased the reliability of profiling results. Utilized Go and PHP for backend development and testing, focusing on business value by making root-cause analysis of performance issues more straightforward and actionable for developers.
