The approach involved migrating VLC profiles to a database for persistent configuration, enabling headless operation, and implementing TS demux-based codec extraction to improve codec detection accuracy across VLC, FFmpeg, and Streamlink. Refactored log parsing unified stream information, enhancing observability and reducing manual debugging. Additional work included creating VLC fixtures for reliable testing, updating packaging, and introducing environment variables for streamlined Docker builds. The project leveraged Python, Docker, and database migrations to consolidate streaming reliability and improve end-to-end media workflows.
