Sevic contributed to the OriginTrail/ot-node and OriginTrail/dkg.js repositories, focusing on backend and blockchain development using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js. Over two months, Sevic refactored sync logic, optimized performance, and overhauled logging and telemetry to improve system observability and reliability. In dkg.js, Sevic implemented robust event finality checks for Knowledge Collection minting, including conditional finality handling on OTP networks and a transaction receipt polling timeout to prevent indefinite waits. The work addressed critical bugs, enhanced error handling, and stabilized block confirmation logic, demonstrating a deep understanding of distributed systems and a methodical approach to reliability and maintainability.
