In January 2026, Sherif Fawzy enhanced the NVIDIA/NeMo-RL repository by expanding its performance benchmarking capabilities. He developed and integrated a new configuration for the grpo-qwen3-30ba3b-4n8g model, supporting 40k test scenarios, and authored a Bash script to automate the collection of latency, throughput, and resource usage metrics. Leveraging skills in bash scripting, configuration management, and performance testing, Sherif’s work enabled more comprehensive and data-driven evaluation of model performance. Although the scope was focused and no bugs were addressed, the contribution deepened the benchmarking framework, providing a foundation for ongoing optimization and improved test automation within the project.

January 2026: Delivered performance testing enhancements for NVIDIA/NeMo-RL. Added a 40k configuration for grpo-qwen3-30ba3b-4n8g and a test script to capture latency, throughput, and resource usage. No major bugs fixed this month. This work expands benchmarking coverage and supports data-driven optimization with improved test automation.
