Worked on enhancing DNS monitoring reliability in the louislam/uptime-kuma repository by addressing a critical issue in hostname validation. Focused on improving the correctness of domain checks, the developer implemented support for PTR DNS records, allowing the monitoring system to accurately validate reverse DNS lookups. This change resolved a key bug that previously limited the accuracy of DNS monitoring, ensuring more robust and reliable hostname checks. The work was carried out using Vue.js for front end development and JavaScript, demonstrating attention to detail in maintaining monitoring accuracy and system reliability.
