Developed an event-driven enhancement for the Metro Connect service within the equinix/equinix-cloudevents repository, focusing on expanding lifecycle visibility and automation. The work introduced a structured Change Event system, enabling proactive provisioning, deprovisioning, and failure handling through well-defined cloud events. Leveraging API development and JSON Schema, the implementation included a new ChangeEvent schema and comprehensive documentation updates to facilitate adoption and auditing. By improving observability and traceability of Metro Connect lifecycle events, the solution supported better operational automation and monitoring. The contribution centered on JSON and cloud event technologies, delivering a single feature with a focus on maintainability and clarity.
