Worked on the CleanTalk/wordpress-antispam repository to deliver a privacy-first anti-spam enhancement for WordPress forms. Developed a CAPTCHA-free solution by integrating a Honeypot field, effectively blocking automated bots while maintaining a seamless experience for legitimate users. Focused on privacy-by-design principles, the approach removed traditional CAPTCHA barriers, reducing user friction and aligning with modern privacy standards. Updated the project’s documentation, specifically readme.txt, to clearly communicate these changes and ensure maintainability. Utilized skills in documentation and text-based languages to improve traceability and support future development. The work emphasized both user privacy and robust spam protection without introducing new user-facing obstacles.
