Sharanchius enhanced Lithuanian localization across the Jellyfin Android TV and Jellyfin core repositories, delivering complete translations for 559 strings and broadening accessibility for Lithuanian-speaking users. Working primarily with JSON and XML, Sharanchius leveraged the Weblate translation workflow to ensure up-to-date and consistent language support throughout the user interface. The cross-repository effort involved integrating translations directly into both jellyfin/jellyfin-androidtv and jellyfin/jellyfin, addressing internationalization needs and improving user experience. The work demonstrated a focused approach to open source contribution, emphasizing thoroughness in translation and localization without introducing new bugs, and deepened the project’s support for multilingual communities.
