This work, executed via two targeted commits, aligns licensing with our ecosystem governance and IP strategy, laying groundwork for compliant adoption by partners and contributors. No major feature releases or bug fixes were completed this month beyond policy updates; the focus was on governance, policy alignment, and risk reduction. Key outcomes include clearer usage rights, improved governance controls, and readiness for ecosystem-wide enforcement.

December 2024: Stabilized governance execution path by reverting the previous increase to the max transaction execution gas limit for governance proposals and resetting it to 4,000,000,000. Implemented a controlled rollback with code review and validation to re-evaluate the change, preserving system stability and security while maintaining progress toward governance feature readiness.
