Worked on the zed-industries/zed repository to deliver an Editor Bracket Matching Highlighting Enhancement, focusing on improving code readability and navigation. The approach involved replacing the previous background highlight with a text-based highlight, ensuring that only relevant brackets were emphasized and that inlay hints no longer caused highlight leakage. This refactoring leveraged Rust programming and UI/UX design skills, integrating seamlessly with editor UI hooks to reduce visual noise and clarify bracket visibility. The enhancement contributed to a cleaner, more user-friendly coding experience, supporting faster code navigation and fewer editing mistakes while maintaining a maintainable and robust editor development workflow.
