Worked on the langgenius/dify-official-plugins repository to upgrade the Gemini embedding integration, focusing on maintaining compatibility and supporting future enhancements. Migrated the system from the deprecated gemini-embedding-exp-03-07 model to the supported gemini-embedding-001, addressing errors and ensuring stable embeddings for downstream applications. Managed version control by bumping the plugin version to 0.5.8 and documented all changes to facilitate ongoing maintenance. Utilized YAML for configuration and applied skills in AI model integration and model management to deliver a robust solution. The work emphasized dependency hygiene and smooth transitions between model versions, supporting business value through technical stability.
