During August 2025, Ship Sing focused on enhancing the macOS onboarding and installation process for Podman Desktop in the podman-desktop/podman-desktop repository. Ship updated both the documentation and a React front-end component to guide users through installation via the Homebrew cask method, ensuring the rendered commands included the correct --cask flag. This work, implemented using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Markdown, aligned the installation flow with user expectations and reduced confusion during setup. By improving the clarity and accuracy of installation instructions, Ship contributed to a smoother first-run experience for macOS users and helped decrease potential support requests related to onboarding.
