During January 2025, Hishiv focused on enhancing code quality in the opensearch-project/index-management repository by upgrading the ktlint dependency from version 1.1.0 to 1.5.0. This work involved updating both Java and Kotlin code to comply with new linting rules, ensuring consistent formatting and reducing the likelihood of CI lint failures. Hishiv applied skills in code formatting, dependency management, and linting to streamline the codebase, which helped accelerate code reviews and maintain project standards. The scope of work was targeted, addressing a single feature with no bug fixes, and demonstrated a methodical approach to maintaining code health and consistency.
