In July 2025, Shivam enhanced the thesysdev/crayon repository by developing a flexible header customization feature for the application’s UI. He introduced a rightChildren prop to both Header and MobileHeader components, allowing developers to inject custom right-aligned content and enabling page-specific actions. This work involved React component API design, prop-driven architecture, and careful SCSS styling adjustments to maintain layout consistency. Shivam also removed an unused prop from MobileHeader, reducing maintenance overhead. The update improved UI customization and streamlined future feature variations, demonstrating a focused approach to frontend development using React, TypeScript, and component design best practices.
