Developed and delivered GitHub Flavored Markdown alert callouts for the zed-industries/zed repository, enhancing the Markdown preview feature to visually distinguish NOTE, TIP, IMPORTANT, WARNING, and CAUTION blocks. The implementation used Rust for backend logic and incorporated UI/UX design principles to render colored borders, icons, and bold labels for each alert type. The work included updating release notes, adding comprehensive tests to verify rendering behavior, and ensuring adherence to the project’s UI/UX checklist. Documentation was revised to reflect the new feature, and all changes were reviewed and co-authored as needed, supporting maintainability and clear communication with stakeholders.
